A perfect model home looks like a great hotel suite, not a nursery school. Here are some tips to help you on your way…
1. Move before you have the baby.
2. Try to make the bedrooms look like regular bedrooms. Let the kids decorate their rooms in your new house.
3. If you have the room on a lot and the neighborhood will support the investment, add on to your existing house.
4. Buy in a family neighbourhood to start with.
5. Think storage. Buy some storage bins that you can quickly throw all of the toys into and tuck into a closet.
6. Get help with the cleaning… especially if you’re working.
7. Price your house realistically and stage it perfectly so it will sell faster.
Being a parent IS more important than selling a house so get things right from the start on selling your home.
